CHRIS GRAVES ART
Artist Graves has an extensive background in business and currently teaches graphic design at Northwest Missouri State University. He will be showcasing and selling his paintings and drawings at the HOLDIAY HUNT.
"I believe that there are opposites in all things. Real and unreal, spiritual and physical. Good and eveil, light and dark, good choices and bad choices. A search for answers beyond our physical senses has preoccupied my thinking for many years. My work is an attempt at visually exploring some of these psychological and spiritual issues."
PROVIDENCE HILL FARM
Harris is inspired by - of all things - goat milk, which serves a the quintessential ingredient for her creations of bath and body products which she will showcase and sell at the HOLIDAY HUNT.
"I get a lot of satisfaction from a quiet, misty morning walk down to the barn," she said. "I enjoy preserving the beauty and integrity found in the artistry of traditional craftsmanship."
She also uses herbs and botanical chosen for their beneficial qualities, color, texture and beauty. "I choose chemical-free fragrances and essential oils from a wide pallet encompassing deep exotics to light fruity florals, which promote pleasure and a sense of wellbeing."
KIMONO ART STUDIO
Using vintage Japanese kimono and obi(sashes), textile artisan Linda creates fresh, sophisticated and modern accessories for self and home. Linda will be showcasing and selling her many designs at the HOLIDAY HUNT.
"They are one-of-a-kind designed one at a time," she said. The designs and patterns on the fabrics are woven or hand painted, hand blocked and screen printed, stenciled or shibori(hand tied). "These patterns and colors are not produced in modern kimono fabrics, thus rendering them unique, coveted and appreciated," Linda said.
